The paper presents eleven strategies to make training in reproducible research and open science practices the norm in research institutions. The strategies, which emerged from a virtual brainstorming event in collaboration with the German Network for Reproducibility, focus on three areas:

  1. Adaptation of research assessment criteria and programme requirements
  2. Training
  3. Community building.
