In order to increase the quality of the data set and the potential for later use, research data should be published in a form that is easy to find and understand. To achieve this, the data must be enriched with additional information, known as metadata. Well-designed and documented metadata therefore plays a key role in finding, understanding and reusing research data.
This service provides basic knowledge about the use of metadata and a variety of helpful links and references on the topic of research data management.
